This is a story about a family who just moved from New York to Canada.

This is Oonagh. She’s five years old. She has big eyes and brown hair. She likes to dance and play with her friends.

Click, clack

This is Oonagh’s mum: Tara. She is tall and has a big smile. She loves animals and works in an organization which takes care of lost or abandoned dogs and cats.

This is Oonagh’s mum: Gasira. She has green eyes and long hair. She is a famous writer well-known all over the world.

Meow, meow...

Tac, tac, tac

So it’s the first day at school and Oonagh is so excited. She gets up very early in the morning and she starts getting ready for school.

She wants to wear her favorite trousers and her new t-shirt.

While she is dressing up she wonders if she will like the school and if she will meet many friends and play with them all.

She finally arrives to her new school with her mummies and she is very surprised. It’s the perfect school! It’s in the middle of the country with many trees all around, and plenty space to play. She’s now a little bit relieved. It’s time to say goodbye to her mummies.

It looked difficult, but is not!

Muak!

Oonagh hears the headmistress calling all the children to go to their respective classes. She goes to hers and she meets her teacher.

Oonagh is very happy imagining all the new things that she will be able to learn in this school.

I like her. She seems very kind

and funny and she's so smart!

Hi, my name is Erin and this is my friend Rowan. Would you like to play with us?

Yes, of course! My name is Oonagh! I’ve just moved from New York. Nice to meet you!

Now it's time to have a break and go to the playground.

Oonagh is having the greatest time playing with her new friends. She can’t wait to tell her mummies!

It looked difficult, but is not!  

It’s time to pick up Oonagh, so Tara and Gasira are very excited  to speak with her and know about her day. They want to know if she liked the school, if she made new friends, and what she thinks about her teacher .

When Oonagh gets out of school, she doesn’t want to leave because she's having a very nice day knowing all her new mates.

Next day at school, her classmates start to make questions to Oonagh about having two mummies.

Oonagh thinks that if she had a dad and a mum, nobody would make questions about it. Even so, she isn’t embarrassed about having two mummies.

She understands that might be just curiosity.
