As caregivers and Early Childhood teachers, we have many responsibilities to many different people. Teachers have duties to children, families, other teachers and principals, their community, and their schools.

Teachers have responsibilities to children:
- They must use the best ways to teach children.
-Teachers should know about children; the way they learn, think, and grow.
-Respect each unique child and their need for help from teachers.
-They need to make a safe, healthy place for children to learn in different ways.
Teachers must also:
-Learn about children, by playing and watching, and use this information to make learning better.
-Know about students, to figure out which children need extra help, and then find people to help them.
-Help all children play and learn in everything they do, even if they have a disability.
-Help all children learn and tell everyone about how important learning is for every child.

Teachers should always:
-Accept every child, no matter where they live, what language they speak, what kind of family they have or what they look like.
-Help children get through school in a way that is easy for them.
Teachers have responsibilities to families:
-They should know about each child's family.
-Teachers need to be partners with families.
-They should welcome all families and listen to them.
-Show respect for the different ways families do things, and share information with them about their child.
-Helping families understand their child's needs and give them information that helps them.

Teachers have responsibilities to other teachers:
-To be friendly with the other teachers, and share information that helps every teacher be better.
-To talk and have meetings with each other to make everyone a better teacher.
-To tell other teachers how good of a job they are doing.
