The year is 2020. Grey clouds fill the sky, and leaves fall from the trees. Every human being has lost hope in the world, and not one person leaves their house without wearing a fake smile on their face.

Everyone has given up on happiness except for little Liliane.

One day, Lili sat down on her living room couch to watch TV and discovered something different.

Why did you do that?

It's the kind thing to do!

Lili flipped through the channels and she found a dental add. It showed a stranger holding the door for another person with a big smile.

Lili had never seen somebody do an act of kindness before. She was very confused by this interaction.

The next day Lili went to school.

Nowadays, the students were too sad to learn and the teachers were too sad to teach.

So, Lili always sat in the corner reading animal book with her dolly.

After school Lili galloped home pretending she was a character from the show My Little Pony.

Lili spotted a convenience store a block away. She decided to walk in and buy an afternoon snack.

Lili entered the store and grabbed her favorite candy bar.

She then paid for her candy bar. Lily waved good-bye to the cashier when she left.

Lili then remembered the ad in the back of her head. She decided to hold the door open for a man.

The man looked confused and asked her why she did it. Lili said, "Because it is the kind thing to do." He told her thank you, and walked into the store.

Lili then headed home.

The grumpy man from the convenience store could not stop thinking about how kind Lili was to him.

He felt happiness that he had not felt in a while.

You do a great job!

He decided to share a little bit of kindness with the cashier. He decided to compliment her on her good work. The lady smiled.
