In the deep woods, lived a white Rabbit. He was the saddest rabbit in the entire woods because he was just white but no one knew this.

The other wood friends were all so cheerful and colourful. Squirrel was happy with his dark brown fur, Fox was proud of his burnt orange coat, Cat had a bushy stripped tail which he likes to wiggle when he is content and Dog felt joyful with his chestnut mane.

One day, Rabbit decided to talk about his sadness with his wood friends.

“I feel sad, you are so pleasant to see and I am so plain!”

His friends wanted to help Rabbit. 

In a tree house set behind the biggest tree of the woods lived a wise horse. The wood friends went to ask for some advice.

When the animals arrived near the tree house, they found Horse waiting for them.

“The wood winds told me about your worries,” Horse said. “This is what I tell you, each one of you should give a piece of his fur to Rabbit. This way he will become the happiest rabbit in the woods!”

Squirrel, Fox, Cat and Dog each gave a small trimming of their fur to Rabbit.

Rabbit was so amazed by this gesture.

He started hopping around the woods showing off his new colourful fur.

Rabbit was no longer the saddest rabbit in the woods. With the kindness of his wood friends he became the HAPPIEST rabbit in the woods.
