YUM!
Your rabbit 's diet
Your rabbit's diet is as crucial to its well being as our diet is to us. That means that if you want a healthy rabbit then you need to feed it correctly. It may seem hard to find the right amount of food to provide your rabbit but it all depends on your rabbit's age.
The amount of hay and pellets you give your rabbit depends on the age and size you of rabbit. For example if your rabbit is an adult you should give it timothy hay. But if your rabbit is a baby you should give it alfalfa hay. A rabbit is an adult at the age of seven months. As for pellets if your rabbit is an adult you can give it up to a quarter cup of pellets per three kilogram rabbit but pellets are not essential.

Hay is the most essential food in a rabbit's diet it helps keep there gut moving. It is also filled with fiber. You are probably wondering why you should not give an adult rabbit alfalfa hay well its because alfalfa hay is not as rich in fiber and adult rabbit's need fiber. Alfalfa is also high in calories and protein far more than the average rabbit needs. Alfalfa is not a grass it is rather a legume (part of the pea and bean family).

Grooming
When you are brushing rabbit you have to be really careful because rabbit skin is really thin so the best brush to use is one like this:

Have you ever wondered if you should give your rabbit a bath well don't rabbits can die from hypothermia and covering your rabbit in water can cause that so please don't try to wash your rabbit. They already clean themselves more than you clean yourself. If you have a special needs rabbit and they cant clean themselves then you can get a wet wipe and clean it but other then that don't clean your rabbit

Free roaming
Do you want to free roam your rabbit but you dont know where to start. Well the first thing you should do before you let your rabbit free roam is bunny proof. That means you protect your house room or where ever your rabbit is staying. The first thing you should protect is cords and cables .

Cords and cables is one of the most easiest thing to bunny proof. All you have to do is is get some flex tubing or hosing and cut a a slit on one side going straight down the middle of it. Then you can insert the cable. The next thing you will probably want to protect is furniture. Lets start with wood furniture. If you want to protect that really expensive book shelf that just you cant live without this is my advise. One of the easiest way to prevent your rabbit from using it as a chew toy is to section off the area where the book shelf is, but if you just have a cheap piece of furniture that you dont mind bunny proofing you can just get some packing tape and put it on the corners or where ever your rabbit shows interest in. The good thing about packing tape is it is see though.
Now for bunny proofing fabric furniture. The only options you have is ether putting a sheet on top of the bed or couch or getting a couch protector like this one:

The next and last thing you will want to bunny proof is bass boards. What I recommend you do is get a a plank of non treated wood and put it in front of your bass boards. You can also get some c&c grids and put them in front of your base boards to.

Equipment
Now I'm going to list some of the basic equipment that you will need wen you get a rabbit:
*Good quality hay
*Hutch or play pen, small cages should be a last resort
*Litter box - if you are housing your rabbit inside
*Harness (optional)
*Pee pads and litter (stay away from cat litter it is too dusty and it is not good for your rabbit to be breathing in)
*Food and water bowls
* Nail clippers
*Hidey house or tunnel

Equipment notes
Good quality hay - timothy, orchard grass, oat hay, brome
Hutch or play pen - small cages can serve as hidey houses
Litter box - high sided litter box's spill less hay
Harness - make sure that you use an shock proof lead or you can break you rabbit's neck and back
Hidey house or tunnel - hooded litter box's can serve as hidey house's
Setting up a litter box
When you set up a litter box the first thing you should do is make sure that it is clean. Once you are certain that your litter box is free from dirt and other substances you can put a pee pad in your box, make sure than it covers the inside but dont let the ends of the pee pads stick out other wise your rabbit will chew them . Next you can put a cup of litter. Last make sure you put lots of hay in your litter box.

When you are choosing a rabbit you might want to think about what type of breed you are going to get. The main difference between rabbits is there appearance. For example the difference between a rex and a mini lop is: a mini lop has ears that flop down the sides and a rex has up right ears. You should not choose your rabbit for the reason that it is more fluffy than all the others because all rabbits deserve to be loved no matter how they look.
