There once was a farmer who lived all by himself on a little farm outside the city where he could relax and not work too hard.

He only grew enough crops to feed himself and his few animals so that he wouldn't have to spend all day working. He had a few chickens to produce eggs and a milk cow that he loved dearly.

The farmer grew lazy because he had so little work to do every day. He began sleeping late into the morning and only getting up at noon.

His beloved cow would wait longer and longer each day for it's breakfast and it became very sad and hungry.

One day, the cow was feeling so hungry that she decided to try eating an old boot that she found in the field. She couldn't chew it well so she just tried to swallow it whole.

When the lazy farmer finally got up, he found his dear cow lying in the field and looking very sick. He tried to feed her but she wouldn't eat. "What is wrong with her?" he thought.

The farmer didn't know how to help the cow so he called the animal hospital and asked them to send a vet immediately.
