One windy day a little girl named Emma was getting ready for school. Today was a special day. A new pupil was going to join her class. She wondered what the new person would be like.

When she got to school she was very excited. Her teacher Mr Conien said Emma was going to sit next to the new student.

Here is the new girl.

Emma's teacher said" This is Amelia, you will be her buddy today Emma". But Emma thought that Amelia looked scary. "Um okay" she said.

Emma's teacher said that they were going to make projects with the person sitting next to them. Emma was sad because she had to work with Amelia who she thought looked scary. When Amelia asked " May I borrow your pencil "? Emma said rather rudely "You think of the ideas and I will write them down." When it was nearly lunch time her teacher said " Tomorrow is pyjama day.

At lunch time Emma fell over and Amelia rushed over. She gave Emma a Band Aid. Emma realized that Amelia was not scary at all, she was very nice, actually.

After school Emma went home with her mum. She felt she had been very mean to Amelia. She should not judge Amelia just by her appearance.

When Emma got home she rushed to her dad's room. She started looking in her dad's art basket. She found something just right for her and Amelia's project.

Next she went to her father's study and did research for their project.
