Natalie, Venus and Jacob were walking to school together. They were so excited because it was the first day of school since summer break! They really wanted to get to know their classmates and teacher.

They all put their stuff in their cubes and went to line up outside their classroom to meet their teacher.

"I wonder if our teacher is nice" mumbled Jacob.

"I am sure our teacher will be very kind, no need to worry Jacob!" grinned Natalie.

Venus laughed "Yeah Jacob don't be so worried."

They all went into their classroom.

"Hello children" the teacher said happily "Go sit on the carpet and then we can have a little fun!"

"My name is Miss Snow and I am your teacher for the whole of year 6!"

"We are going to play a get to know you game called pass the bean bag. When you get the bean bag you say your name, favorite color, favorite food, favorite animal and favorite subject."

"I will start. My name is Miss Snow, my favorite color is blue, my favorite food is apples in peanut butter, my favorite animal is a panda and my favorite subject is probably math."

They all went around.

First Venus, then a girl named Chloe, After there was Natalie, Fourth was a boy named Ryan, There was another boy named Noah and Then there was Jacob.

After that they all played fun games together so the teacher could test their knowledge.

"What is 4x6 Jacob?" asked Miss Snow.

"4x6 is 24!" answered Jacob with a big grin on his face.

"Very good job, 5 points for Jacob! Can anyone beat that?" Miss Snow said cheerfully

Soon it was lunch time and everyone was going to their cubbies to get their lunch money and then line up to go to the school cafeteria.

Everything was going well when suddenly Natalie screamed "I lost my lunch money!"

Jacob and Venus came over and helped Natalie look for her lost lunch money.
