One beautiful Monday morning a boy named Alex brought his teddy bear to school for show and tell.

"This is my Teddy bear Snug. I love him very much, because he's so snugly!"

Show and tell is over. Now it is recess.The other kids play with his bear and accidentally break it.

"Oh no! We broke Alex's Teddybear!"

Alex runs to the school garden to hide his tears. He is devastated.

But then Ella comes and helps Alex.

"Alex! Are you ok?"

"No, I'm very sad!"

"The kids broke my teddy bear. My grandpa gave it to me. But he passed away."

"What happened to You , that made You feel sad?"

"I understand. I would feel sad, too. But I might be able to help You."

Ella takes Alex back to the classroom and takes out her sewing kit and sews the teddy bear's arm back on.

"Thank You so much Ella! You listened to me with empathy and that's why you understood me."
