One day a boy and his dad went caving in Tennessee. They crawled in very tight spaces, but they were not scared. It was an adventure.

In the cave, his dad and him climbed up steep pathways and even crawled over a cave bridge.

Without lights it would be total darkness. This is why bats love to live in the caves. My dad and I saw many bats flying around at night, but they were sleeping upside down during the day.

On our adventure along the cave pathway, we saw a salamander. We looked again and then there were several. I liked the orange one with the black dots the best. Did you know that when the bird called a kingfisher eats a salamander's tail, it will grow a new tail?
