Once upon a time.....

In old Britain there lived a big, big family.

The family was called the ENGLISH VERBS

family .  

They lived in a big house. 

There was Mrs. Verbs, the mother and 

Mr. Verbs, the father.

They had lots of children...over 100 !

The house was very noisy and crowded. 

There were good boys and girls that followed all rules. 

They were called REGULAR VERBS.

But there were also other verbs that did not like rules: they were called IRREGULAR VERBS.

One day mom was very tired and fed up by the chaos and called her eldest siblings: 

"TO BE, TO HAVE, TO DO !
Where are you ? 

Please come here, please help me !"

The 3 verbs were very good, generous, real superheroes. In fact, they had a nickname "AUXILIARY VERBS ", which means helpful.

The 3 AUXILIARIES arrived immediately.

Mom said: "TO DO can you please help me ? 

We need a timetable with things we do often, always, never, sometimes, once a week etc.

Let’s call this timetable THE PRESENT SIMPLE!”

TO DO  was very happy to help and do things and answered: 

"Of course mommy ! I can help you.  

It's a great idea! ".
