“STAND BACK!!!!” shouted Blaze as he carefully pulled back on his slingshot. Creeeeeeeeek was all you could hear as the rubber band stretched to its maximum length. “Ping”, snapped the sling shot and out shot a sticky, cold ball of mud and smacked the hungry, ginormous crow right on the side of the head.

Blaze was the bravest blueberry in Blueville and therefore the leader of the Blue army. 

The Blue army had the responsibility of protecting the entire village from everyday threats such as hungry crows, vampire rats and greedy humans who would seek the taste of succulent wild blueberries.

Momma Blueberry quickly gathered all her baby blueberries into hiding under a large maple leaf and carefully watched as Blaze took arm against their number one threat, Shank the Crow! 

“Sssshhhh” said Momma B to her bluebabies. “We need to help Blaze do his work by keeping very still and silent."

Momma Blueberry did a very quick headcount to make sure all 15 bluebabies were safe under the Maple leaf. 

“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14.

Where was baby number 15?!?!

Momma B frantically looked around hoping Baby Blueberry 15 aka Ripped, was there and safe but sadly she was nowhere to be seen!!!

Mother B hoped she counted wrong and quickly did another headcount out loud, gently tapping the head of each Bluebaby as she counted them.

“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13..WHAT, WHERE ARE BLUEBABIES 14 AND 15, Rowlin and Ripped?!?!?!

They were vanishing right before her blue eyes and she had no idea where they were disappearing too!

Momma B gave firm instructions to all her other babies to stay in a tight blue ball and protect each other while she inconspicuously left their safe spot to search for her two lost babies.

She quickly rolled through a dry trough that wound around a large rock covered with moss. She peered up to make sure no predators were lurking, when from the corner of her eye she spotted Ripped and Rowlin perched high on the mossy rock and right beside them was Shank the Crow all covered in mud from Blaze's mud ball!!!!

Shank was getting ready for a nice bluebaby lunch when he heard Momma B screamed with all her lung power! “AAAAAAAaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!”

Blaze was just forming another mud ball, only this time with a hard stone in the center of the mud ball for added power.
