One day a girl named Dianna was walking home from school. It has been weeks since she had her first superhero adventure, but she still couldn't believe her wish actually came true. 5 weeks ago, she was tested by a secret superhero team and passed! (Previous book, The Secret Superhero.) ;)

She was walking by a wooden fence and saw:

She knew this was a coded message from the superhero lair saying they need her.

Dianna rushed home, up to her attic, into the closet, and changed her clothes, and then gathered with the other superheros around Mission Board.

Welcome, superheros, today is a little different. We have a new superhero starting. Say hello to Arianna Johnson!

Dianna gasped. She not only knew Arianna, but she and her were major frienemies since 4th grade after Arianna put live frogs in Dianna's water bottle. Then, to get her back, Dianna splattered paint all over Arianna's bedroom and she got in trouble and was grounded. That meant that Dianna won't be seeing Arianna for a long time because Arianna was in big trouble.

Gasp

But now they are superheros, they can't focus on each other because mission board gives them only one chance. If they blow a mission, they are out. then, mission board gave them the first mission of the day.

"Everyone, it looks like the Willowest Banks have been robbed. We need you to find out who did it. Here are the coordinates:

"These coordinates look like a pattern. The first bank is near the town's center. And the second bank is near the outskirts," Dianna said. "I already knew that. You said it before i could," Arianna boasted. "Yeah right," Dianna smirked.

Dianna and the other superheros went to the first bank to see if they could find any clues. "Look! What is this?" Dianna hollered. "It looks like a mask," said another superhero named Maddison. "I already knew that," Arianna boasted, again. "I don't think so," Dianna whispered. She worked up a plan. She sent Arianna to look for some more clues, and told the other superheros to huddle up.

"What is it? We're on the clock here," said Pheobe. "When we find the thief, we'll look to Arianna for guidance. Then Mission Board will see that she is just feeding off our ideas, and doesn't have her own," Dianna was pretty proud of what she worked up, and so were the other superheros. They were pretty annoyed with Arianna claiming she did something she didn't.

Arianna hasn't found any clues yet because she wasn't looking properly and put in a lot of effort. She wanted someone else to do it so she could claim it. Maddison found a fingerprint and took it. And i think you probably know what Arianna said. Anyway, they also found a hat, which Arianna claimed too. The other superheros were very annoyed and hoped they found the thief soon.

3 clues:

The superheros decided they would go undercover to find out the thief. As they were walking, pretending to be a group of teenage girls, they saw someone suspicious. He was all dressed in black. Dianna referred back to the mask and hat. "But what if he was going to a funeral?" Pheobe asked. "Maybe. We need to keep a close eye on him. We have our suspect. Now we need the proof. Wherever he goes, we go. We need to get his fingerprint.

The girls stayed hidden as they followed the man. He went inside his house. The girls thought that they could get a fingerprint. They did get one and they scanned it. It matched! They now knew who the thief is, now they need the proof. They went to the other town called Orinville. It also had 2 banks, one near the center, and one near the outskirts.

They set up a camera near the door for anyone who came up to the bank. Dianna used her powers to knock down the door, lift it back up, and used her laser eyes to turn off the cameras.They hid behind the work desks and waited, for anyone to come. Dianna remembered her plan, and asked Arianna what to do because the whole night, no one came through the door.
