A story for children of all ages.

Dedicated to their Dad's,

whose unconditional love raises them up and never lets them fall.

In the jungle there are many animals that live together. There are lions, tigers, snakes, gorillas, birds and many more species. 

In a small corner of the jungle lived two chimpanzees. One was female named Viola and was about to have a baby. The other was a male named Tundra and about to be a daddy.

Viola finally gave birth to the little baby chimpanzee. A little girl chimp named Zimmi. 

Zimmi could not open her eyes yet, but had a little smile on her cute face. Tundra was so proud to have a sweet little daughter.

Suddenly there was a big commotion all around them. Hunters were approaching! Tundra jumped up to distract the hunters and ran in a direction to lead the hunters away, while Viola ran the opposite way, with little baby Zimmi, who instinctively hung on tight to her back.  

A few days past and Zimmi opened her big bright eyes to see the wonderful world all around her and was amazed at all the beauty of the jungle forest. Baby Zimmi saw all the animal families in the jungle and noticed they were usually in threes. A mommy, baby and a Daddy.

Zimmi said to her mommy, where is my daddy? All the other baby animals have a mommy and a daddy. Do I have a daddy?

“Yes, little one”, said Viola, you have a daddy. “Where is my daddy?” asked Zimmi. Your daddy did something incredibly brave on the day you were born. He loved us so much that he put himself in harms way, to save us from danger.

Your daddy was so very proud of you that day and so happy to be a new dad. However, when hunters came and threatened our safety, your daddy did what fathers do. Protected us, kept you safe, and made sure you had a chance to live a wonderful life.
