While sneaking through the house

like a private eye

Cat watched his owner 

as she baked a pie

He could see the dough 

as she rolled it out flat,

Why his owner did not know

she had a sneaky cat

Just as soon as she leaves, "I'll attack it!", cat said. 

"But if I get caught, oh, what a dread"

So he tip-toed

One step at a time

"I can't wait", cat thought, 

"til' that pie is mine"

As his owner was moving from side to side

Pouring in the fillings, of that luscious pie

Old cat stared, while lying on his back

Why he could hardly wait for that pie attack

The aroma was more than old cat could stand

As owner opened up the oven and removed the pan

His owner then moved 

from the kitchen stove

To place the baked pie 

in an alcove
