Allah`s Messenger (saw) said,"You must keep to my sunnah and to the sunnah of the Rightly Guided
Caliphs(Khulafa Al Rashideen),those who guide to the right way."

Uthman bin Affan (RA) was a great companion.He was born six years after the Elephant year.He grew up in a wealthy family.He was an intelligent and open minded man.He never prostrated to an idol and was much loved by his people.
Uthman (RA) was the fourth of the men who accepted Islam,and the first to migrate to
Abyssinia with his wife Ruqiaya(RA),daughter of Allah`s Massenger.He was given the title "Dhu Al Nurain" because he was married to two daughters of the Prophet(saw).The first Ruqaiya(RA),and then upon her death,he was married to UmmKulthum(RA).




Uthman bin Affan (RA) knew how to read and write.This was an unusual skill in pre Islamic Arabia. He became a successful trader and cloth merchant.He and Aboobacker(RA) were very close friends and it was Aboobacker(RA) who brought him to Islam.
