Dedicated to Zenyia

It was a long time ago, and far, far away, in a small village many called McKinney, that a small girl named Zeniya lived happily with her parents, 2 goats, a horse, 3 pigs, and her favorite dog Bob.

Zeniya was an active child, always searching for an adventure, roaming the hills, valleys, and forests of McKinney looking for something magical.

 She had once heard a story from her grandmother that described something very special. Her grandmother told her that in a small forest, near the old castle, many had suspected that something unique lived there. Zeniya was a very inquisitive child, and wanted her grandmother to be more specific about what she had seen in the forest many years ago.

At first, her grandmother hesitated. But, Zeniya begged her grandmother to share her story. Her grandmother loved Zeniya, and could not refuse her request.

What is it?

 She told Zeniya that when she was a young girl, about the same age as her granddaughter, she had been roaming the forest, searching for berries for her mother. She was thinking about the delicious pies that her mother would make with the fresh berries in the basket.

 As she was turning to walk back to the village, she heard a noise in the bushes. A slight movement, like the wind causes, made her look. She rubbed her eyes, trying to clear her vision, because she did not believe what she was seeing.

Standing beside the bush, half hidden by the branches, was a small, white horse-like creature. Her eyes widened, and she knew this was not just a horse. This was much different. This small white horse had a spiral horn attached to its forehead.

Many of the villagers had talked about such a special animal, and they spoke fondly of the few sightings that had occurred over the years. This magical creature was rarely seen, and no one had ever captured one.
