Shah Jahan real name was Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram.He was born on 5 January 1592.He was the fifth mughal emperor reigned from 1628 to 1658.Under his reign the Mughal empire reached the peak of glory.He is also remembered for his architectural achievements.He fought with his father-in-law Asaf Khan and managed to secure the throne.

Well-educated and intelligent,Shaha Jahan was also known as 'magnificent'.He received a broad education which included martial training, poetry,

Hindustani classical music most of which was included according to the court..He was having a fair amount of physical danger and politics by his father.There was peace and prosperity in empire and he was also proud ruler who was aware of his high status.

As he was the emperor of large and fabulously rich empire,so he had to face the dangers.On coming on the throne,he faced the revolt of Bundela Rajputs and of Khan Jahan Lodhi and he defeated them easily.He faced Dara's army and defeated him during the battle of Samargurh.He and his sons captured Kandahar from Safavids but the recaptured in 1649.Then MUghal tried to recapture but was unable and it was lost to them.

Akbar persuade the policy of Deccann but could not conquer all of the Deccan.Shah Jahan wished to complete the conquest of Deccan and conquered AhmedNagar,Goloconda and Bijapur.He made Aurangzeb the ruler of Deccan.Aurangzeb introduced Todar Mak's revenue to encourage the farmers to enrich the land by government money.The administration was efficient.

Kandahar had been lost to Mughals during Jahangir reign.It was Shah Jahn wish to capture his ancestors area back. He repeated attempts to reconquer Kandahar but failed in 1653.Mughals suffered from great loss of prestige and money.For the glory of mughals,he tried to capture Balkh and Badakhstan but unfortunately these were also attacked and captured.

Shah Jahan have 13 wives,but his most likely wife was Mumtaz Mahal.She died at the age of 38 on 7 July 131 which give birth to the child.Her beauty was legendary and she was really a good women.She looked for orphans to gave them charity and was kind to all.Few marriages were resulted in happiness.Shah Jahan made Taj Mham for her and this reflects his love for his wife

Shah Jahn administration was really nice.He had cultural and political stability,but he failed many times.Under his rule the empire became a huge military.By his measures had general stability.He had more architectural achievements .

His behaviour with his children were nice.He was more into the art and he always tried to be his children on that path.His children were well-educated and also know sword fighting.They were really lovely children and the obey their father humbly and gently.But when he was at the death bed his children fought for the throne and one of them prison him.and he died their in 1666.
