Getting your Guinea Pig
When you get your Guinea Pig, make sure the cage is complete and you know how to handle them. The first few weeks you have your Guinea Pig, do not pick it up just so they can explore and get used to the cage. Guinea Pigs can hear very well so do not talk to loud. When Guinea pigs squeak high pitch, that is a sign they are scared.
Tip:
Always get your Guinea pig in pairs because it could cause a lot of problems!
Tip:
Never feed your Guinea pig iceberg lettuce! It may give them diarrhea.
Food
Guinea Pigs can eat most fruit and vegetables. I feed my Guinea Pigs Lettuce, Carrots, Watermelon and Peaflakes. There are some really sugary treats that you should only feed your Guinea pig once a week. Bananas and watermelon are very sugary treats. Some healthy treats are Grapes and Strawberrys. Guinea pigs should be fed at least once a day. If a Guinea pig's hay rack is empty, you can feed them again.
