Carol´s father died in a plane crash, his father went to Australia for a few days, he was a businessman, so he traveled a lot. When the day to return to Hong Kong came, he was flying from Sydney to Hong Kong and just that day the plane had failures and had a major accident in which no one survived, Carol hear about the plane crash in the television, but she didn't think of her father first but then she realized that it was her father´s plane.

Carol´s friends invited her to use drugs, but then she realized it was a mistake, the police came to her school, fortunately  she was not arrested, but she was expelled from the school, Carol´s mother was very angry with her, and she said “What am i going to do with you Carol?”. Carol tried to apologize to her mom, but then received news that she was returning to England and was going to another school.

.Carol was expelled from the school for using drugs.

After Carol's father died, Carol's mother told her that they were going to England, she said that she was going to look for a new school, a month later they returned to England, they lived in London in a hotel, at first they were strangers Carol saw the famous buildings and Carol just wanted to forget the bad times in Hong Kong, after 5 weeks Carol had to find a school, and Carol's mom a job.

  Carol and her mother in the afternoon saw the newspapers, Carol showed it to her mother since there was an opportunity to work as a secretary, Carol's mother said it sounded interesting, Carol's mother called the number that appeared in the newspaper and Greta Ross replied saying that she would arrive the next day at eleven o'clock in the morning, the next day Carol's mother asked if Carol could go with her to work and that she could help at home or in the gardens.

Carol's mom got the job, so they had to go live on the private island in Scotland, Carol said Scotland is a very beautiful place, Greta Ross told Carol's mom that she would be her husband's secretary, He was a businessman, but he never left the island, he went to work on the phone, Carol and her mom had a dinner with Mr and Mrs Duncan and Tony, they had a big kitchen, and Mr Duncan said that the secretary of Mr Ross was in the hospital.

I think that the next chapter will be about Carol trying to discover what was the point in that mysterious phone call and what secret Mr Ross is hiding. I think that Carol is scared because she's not gonna feel safe and she´s gonna be worried for her mom. Also the island is a creepy place and no one lives there so the only good thing is the beach.
