Step 2

Carol live in Hong Kong  

When the book starts we can read that Carol was living in Hong Kong. She was very happy, she had many friends and she was a good student. 

She used to liked 

pop music, her favorite singers were the Rolling Stones, but her favorite singer was Jake Rosso, she was a big fan of his music, at the point that she had her room decorated with posters of him.

Step 2

Carol´s father´s died 

Carol´s father dies in an airplane crash. He was on a business trip to Australia, He was in the Capital Sydney, and he stayed there for two weeks.

After that two week is Sydney, Australia he came back to Hong Kong and the airplane on the one he was in crashed and no one survived. 

 Not even Carol´s died

Carol´s life after her father dead

After Carol knew about the death of her father she got depressed,she spent many days lonely in the bedroom,she stopped listening to any music ,even Jake Rosso’s music,watching television and she didn’t want to see anyone.After that period she stopped doing the work of her college and started to go out with new bad friends.With those friends she started to do wrong activities like taking drugs.

Step 2

Carol and her mother moved from Hong Kong to London

When Carol and her mother moved to London they were unhappy and upset because Carol´s father just died, also Carol was passing a difficult moment talking about her grades and her social life because she was depressed, so Carol´s mother decided to leave everything and start their lives again in another country. In this case the country that Carol´s mother chose was London.

Step 2

Carol´s new life in the island

Carol´s new  life on the island was   different to the life  that  she  had  in Hong Kong  or in London.  Also Carol got  a job as secretary , Carol  discovered  that the owners  are  young   people  why Ms.Ross and Gretta  Ross are young people around  thirty that have a lot  of money  being  very  young  when Mr.Ross  does not  like  people to work  on  the  island..

Step 3

The next chapter will be about how Carol is doing in her job of secretary and know more of Mr.Ross. because he is a very quiet and interesting man; also we will read about Carol doing photos of all the things that she likes in the island for her work, and also knowing more of Mr.Ross because he is very mysterious and strange.

About the author.

The author of the book Dead Man's Island is John Escott and he has had a very radical life change. His life took a 180 degree turn when he became a writer since before being a writer he worked in business. 

Another important event to John Escott´s life was when he moved from Somerset, in the west of England to Bournemouth on the south coast.

                                    Favorite Scenes

Our favorite scene in the entire book is when Carol begins a new life on the island, where they were able to get a job as a secretary. He was also able to take pictures of all the things he likes on the island, and he was also able to know what the people are like in that place, he was able to create a life without the help of his mother and he realized that people are very rare on the island.
