For years Johnny Parrot had worked hard for every cracker he earned. He sold shoes, offered feather trimmings, and babysat his younger parrot siblings. One day, he decided to buy himself a lottery ticket that had an interesting prize. He waited a week for the numbers to be called and imagine his surprise when he was the winner!

What was this interesting prize? Johnny Parrot was the new owner of his very own deserted island! He immediately began planning all the people and things he wanted to do with his brand new space. He was so eager to begin this project that he flew away the very next day to the island.

Johnny Parrot arrived at his new island excited for all his new plans. But when he arrived he saw that pirates had anchored near by and that made him nervous. The last thing he needed was to get abducted by a pirate and made to work on a ship for all the rest of his days!

Luckily the pirates left by evening and Johnny was able to scope out his new island pad. First thing the next morning he got to work building a nice tree house in the best spot on the island, right near a sandy beach. He set up his new home and called up his family and some friends to come and have a big party.
