I would like to dedicate this book to all of the children who are confused or worried about going back to school this upcoming school year.
For a fun game, try finding the ant and heart on each page!

Little Bear, along with all of the other kids in the country were sent home from school in the spring because of a global pandemic called Covid-19. Everyone thought it was only going to be for a couple of weeks, but they were wrong!

It'll only be for
a couple
of weeks!
Weeks turned into months, and everything on the calendar kept dropping off as events were canceled.

graduation

Like many others, Little Bear's school graduation was not what was planned. For most schools, graduation was shown over zoom. Little Bear was graduating fifth grade, which means it was his last year in elementary school. He was very sad he could not have a proper graduation with friends and family after working so hard and being such a good student.

Little Bear felt just as sad for the eighth graders finishing middle school, and the high school and college seniors who had come even farther along! Most had zoom graduations as well, but some got creative and had graduation parades!

Congratulations
to the graduating class of 2020!

Summer was looking very different than usual. Lot's of sports and camps, as well as vacations had to be canceled. Mama bear told Little Bear that the world was looking a bit more like when she was a little cub. There weren't many water or trampoline parks and things like that for her and her friends to go to. Instead, they would ride their bikes, enjoy water activities, and camp.

Little Bear did the most he could possibly do to make the summer as great as he could while still being safe. Even though Little Bear didn't get to do all the things he normally would, he found that he had a really enjoyable summer.

well, when I
was a cub...
As the new school year approached, Little Bear was worried that he wouldn't be able to go back in person. He wasn't the only one though. Lot's of his friends that he talked to said they were worried too. Anxiety was mounting for the kids and parents. They were all asking the same question.

"Will we be able to go back to school safely ?"
