It was a quiet day in the green room at Doggy Day care. All the dogs were there in person but one. The dog who was not there is called Treasure. She almost got sick and missed home so the teacher, Miss Lyla, called Treasure's family and said that she  can come back to school after Thanksgiving.

One dog named Duke, had many feelings mixed together as one. He was sad for Treasure. Scared if there was a test. And happy because his friends, along with himself, will go camp tonight.  Duke was reading his planner. He loved that even if nothing was going to happen.

Miss Lyla could not belive Treasure was missing out on this. Miss Lyla loved how Duke loved camping three days before Halloween. It would have been the best night of Duke's life like he had been planing for over a monht, but it was not. But his friends and him did fun stuff like when Miss Lyla was toasting her marshmallows, the dog friends had bananas and watermelon. Miss Lyla even told a story about Cleopatra dreaming of being a Queen. Duke's night turned upside-down because of a................a star!

Duke saw a star Why is it pink? His little doggy mind wondered. Was the star bad or was it good? Duke's mind was mixed up. Was the star good or was it bad? He wanted to call it a day.

Miss Lyla must have saw the star too! Duke did not want it to feel like a rollercoaster. (He had never been on one before.) Duke had to make things right.

The next day was Olive's birthday. She is now 5 years old! Marlee had an idea to throw a fun sugary party with balls, a bounce house, and Olive's favorite, a slice of healthy pink grapefruit to blance all the candy. Treasure even called on Zoom to have the party.

It was the best day of Olive's life.

The next day was October 30. Tomorrow is Halloween.  While the other dogs were playing go fish, Duke rushed to Miss Lyla. She speaks dog so she could help him. She said it was not a pink star star, but a pink star diamond.
