Going to the grocery store requires me to use STEM, specifically math to estimate how much I will spend to make sure that I stay within my budget.
To the store we go
At work, I make the schedule which uses two parts of STEM; technology and mathematics. I use a computer when making it and I have to pay attention to the amount of hours I schedule people to make sure I do not go into over time, but I also have to use math to determine how to stay under the amount of hours I am allowed in one day.
All work, no play...
I use STEM while cooking because I use math for measurements to make sure I am making my food correctly. Sometimes I also like to add something extra, which could count as some science.
Get in my belly
I use STEM on the commute to work and school because I have to make sure I check my gas tank and my mileage regularly. My car uses technology to tell me how many miles I have left on my tank but I have to do the math of how many miles it takes to get from point A to point B to see when I will need to fill up again.
On the road again
I notice STEM when I use my phone all the time, but mostly I use it to talk to my family. They live 4 hours away so the most interaction I get with them is when I get to call them.
Ring, ring.. "Hello?"
Feeding my dogs isn't something I would have considered STEM before but it is. When I'm buying food for them I think about what goes into it and will have the most benefits for them, which I do using scientific research. When I'm actually feeding them, I measure the food out using a measuring scoop (math) to make sure they are not being over or underfed.
Boys (and girls) gotta eat
Cleaning the house would be considered STEM because sometimes I have to experiment with what is going to clean surfaces best and what mixtures will help get rid of certain smells.
This place is pigsty
I take certain medications everyday that are a product of STEM professionals. I also have to do the math in my head to make sure I am taking the right amount when I measure it out.
