It was a quiet day in the kingdom of Gardia, the birds were chirping, the sun was shining, it was the perfect day. Suddenly the ground began to shake and out of the forest came a huge monster! It was so big it could swallow you whole!!

Everyone was very frightened, so the king sent for his advisors. They proposed that they should feed the monster until he was full, so that he would go away. The king agreed. They then got together all of the food they could find and gave it to the monster, hoping he would accept it as a peace offering.

The monster ate all of the food but the next day it was back for more! The king sent out a proclamation to everyone saying, "come to the palace with you're best plan to beat the monster, and if it works I will reward you with many riches." 

Many people came with ideas but he only picked one. This idea was from a fair maiden called Emma. She whispered her idea into his ear, and a wide grin spread across his face.

Soon the monster returned! He smashed through the wall that was around the city and then started stepping on houses and roaring loudly. Then the fair maiden called Emma stepped forward.
