In a great big house in a quiet little town,

a lonely little ghost had the saddest frown.

With no one to haunt and no one to taunt,

"I'm wasting my afterlife!" he anxiously thought.

"I don't have any friends, 

I don't have any foes... 

I'm practically miserable from my head to my toes!"

Just as the little ghost started wailing on the floor, he heard a sound, many sounds. 

Someone's opening the door!

A family walked in 

as he floated down the hall.

"Finally!" he whispered, "I'm not alone after all." 

As the family settled in, the little ghost grinned. 

Right away, he plotted and schemed.

"I'm a great ghost! I'm tough, scary, and mean!"

When he was sure that the parents were fast asleep, 

he crept to the child’s room and made sure the door creaked.

The little ghost came to the side of his bed,

and ooo’d and boo’d right next to his head.
