One afternoon, Mr. Albert Mathic was laying in bed with nothing to do, which was rare because he owns the Math factory and always has something to do. The thing was that had run out of ideas for equations to give to the math world. After a long time of staring at the ceiling and doing nothing, he stood up from the bed and started jumping because of the amazing idea he got. He quickly got out of his giant room and went downstairs and informed his workers, The Deshauns, that they needed to gather to talk as soon as possible. When all the Deshauns and Mr. Mathic were in the big conference room, Mr. Mathic started to tell them his idea. The Deshauns hadn't so much to say but their conclusion was to accept Mr. Mathics' idea. They proceeded to write a letter to some schools for them to send Mr. Mathic the most qualified students in math.
After one week of waiting, Mr. Mathic finally got all the permissions from the students' parents allowing them to come to his factory for a whole day. He started preparing/cleaning the whole factory because he was so worried that the kids didn't like the environment. He wanted that as soon as the kids got to the factory the felt as welcome as possible so he prepared a song about math just for them.

All the kids were happy to be there, they saw that visit to the factory as an opportunity to create something new for the thing they loved. Mr. Mathic was very happy that the kids like it, he had put a lot of effort to make the factory look good. Mr. Mathic was a little old and he couldn't remember things clearly.
"Okay kids, we are here to have some fun, but also to learn. I first need to now you beautiful names for me to remember you guys," said Mr. Mathic in a friendly tone.
"My name is Zoe"
"My name is John"
"My name is Katie"
"My name is Zack"
"My name is Bella"
"My name is Alexa"
"My name is Emily"
"My name is Henry"
Mr. Mathic and the kids started to talk and to get to know each other when two Deshauns entered the room.
"Eww, what is that?" said Katie.
"These are the Deshauns, they would be making us company while we learn about math," explained Mr. Mathic.
98 more Deshauns appeared and they started to sing a welcome song for the children. The song was fun and happy and the kids thought that too. Mr. Mathic was happy that his idea was coming along well. This was just the start of his idea and all of the people there were very happy. When the Deshauns finished the song, Mr. Mathic told the kids that they had to get ready for their first challenge/elimination.
"Okay kids, we are in the first elimination/challenge of this trip. The rules are simple, you have to say the definition and an example of some exponent rules which are the following, definition of base, definition of exponent, product rule, quotient rule, power to power rule, zero exponent rule, negative exponent, and rational exponent rule," Mr. Matich said to the kids.
"Who wants to go to our first challenge?" said Mr. Mathic.
"Me! Me! Me!" said Emily in an excited tone.
"Alright Emily, you follow me to the definition of base room. The other kids stay here with the Deshauns," said Mr. Mathic.

Definition of base:
Example:

Mr. Mathic and Emily got to the definition of base room and Mr. Mathic explained Emily the rules once again. Mr. Mathic gave Emily as much time as she needed to prepare to answer the question. If she answers wrong, she would be eliminated and wouldn't be able to come to the factory ever again. If she got it right, she could choose to eliminate whoever she wanted.
Emily was finally ready, she had studied for the past week so she could be able to stay. She wanted to win so she could be able to make her math equation and be recognized as the smartest 10-year-old.
"Okay Mr. Mathic, the base is the number that you get when you multiply the exponent and the main number. An example would be 7^2=49," said Emily in a confident tone.
"Sorry Emily, you are wrong. The definition of base is the number that is multiplied by the exponent. An example would be 7^2," said Mr. Mathic.
"That means I have to go right?" said Emily in tears.
That's right, but I can see you are going to have a great future, Emily. Never give up, keep trying!" said Mr. Mathic
"Goodbye Emily, keep the hard work!" said Mr. Mathic waving to...
...Emily as she walked out of the factory.
"Thank you for everything, bye!" Said Emily walking away.
The next volunteer was Alexa, she was really smart she was the smartest kid in her whole school. She loved math and wanted to win the final price of this trip. Alexa and Mr. Mathic went to the next challenge which was the definition of exponent room.
"Alright Alexa, what you have to do is give me the definition of exponent and an example, are you ready?" said Mr. Mathic.
"I was born ready," said Alexa.
"An exponent is a number that represents how many times a number needs to be multiplied, for example, 4^5 or 4x4x4x4x4, when you have an exponent, all the numbers you are multiplying are the same," Alexa said.
"Wow Alexa, that is correct, and, since you got this right you have the chance to choose someone to send home today, how is it gonna be?" said Mr. Mathic with a smile on his face.
"I am choosing to eliminate Zack, he is very smart and I can't have good competence," said Alexa.
"Well, we need to go back to give Zack the news," said Mr. Mathic.

Mr. Mathic and Alexa went back to the main room and started talking with the kids. Even though Zack didn't get a chance to participate and answer some questions, he got eliminated. He got ver mad but also sad, but, he had no option. His dad came to pick him up and then they left.
"Any volunteers for the next question? If we have none I'll have to pick," said Mr. Mathic
"I would like to try," said Zoe.
Zoe and Mr. Mathic went to the next challenge which would be the product rule room. Zoe was prepared to lose, she was smart but she was shy and insecure. She didn't believe in herself but Mr. Mathic did. He gave her all the time she needed to prepare and think. She finally was ready and started to talk to Mr. Mathic about the answer.
"Well, the product rule is... I- I- I don't know," said Zoe with a tear on her face.
"Come on Zoe I know you can," said Mr. Mathic.
"I can't, I can't," said Zoe, and then sat on the floor and cried.
"Well, that is a shame, because the product rule is really easy, just visualize this in your head. You are going to multiply two numbers, and
both of the numbers have exponents. The base numbers are the same and the exponents are different. Since both base numbers are the same, you would keep them the same. What you have to do is work with the exponents. The thing is that the exponents never multiply each other, so they have to add each other. For example 5^3·5^2=5^5," explained Mr. Mathic.
"I knew it but I thought it was the wrong definition," said Zoe in a sad tone.
There were 5 kids left because Zoe was eliminated. There was a challenge for each kid and Mr. Mathic decided to choose a kid that didn't volunteer. Mr. Mathic went back to the main room and took John to the next challenge.
"Why choose me? I didn't volunteer yet," said John in a sassy tone.
"You said the reason yourself," said Mr. Mathic while John was rolling his eyes at him.
"The question you'll have to answer is the quotient rule," said Mr. Mathic as he was writhing on the board.
"That is super easy, the quotients rule is similar to the product rule. When you have a fraction and the base numbers are the same,
