Even though Onyx is very 

smart, he still needs

help from humans in order to

live a long, healthy life.  

In order for Onyx to see the 

sunset every night, he requires 

a few essential needs.

Essential Needs

1) Drink water

2) Eat food

3) Use the bathroom

4) Yearly vaccinations

5) Frequent baths

6) Exercise

7) Time

Water

Just like people, all living 

things needs water in order to 

survive. Dogs are not an 

exception. Onyx has a water 

bowl that is often filled with 

fresh water.

Food

Boxers are VERY energetic. In 

order to fuel energy, dogs 

must eat food throughout the 

day. They need people to buy 

food and feed them. 

Bathroom

After eating all that food and 

drinking all that water, dogs 

need to use the bathroom. 

They need people to let them 

outside

to do this.

Vaccinations

Dogs require vaccinations 

(shots) in order to avoid 

certain diseases and stay 

healthy. They need people to 

give them these shots.

Baths

In order to 

look this good

and clean, you 

need to bathe. 

Dogs need 

baths too.
