Hello class! Today we are going to learn about the four different seasons in the year. There are four seasons in the year: spring, summer, fall, and winter.

The seasons change because of how the earth orbits around the sun throughout the year. It all happens in the exact same pattern each year.

In the spring, there is more sunlight in a day, more rainy days, and flowers and other plants begin growing after the winter.

Let's start with spring!
With growth of the greenery, spring also brings animals out of their winter hibernation. Hibernation is a long winter sleep for many animals.

Summer is the next season in the pattern. Summer is hottest season of the year. With hotter and longer days, summer brings droughts and heatwaves that can be dangerous to people and animals.

Our part of the earth is called the northern hemisphere. During summer months, the northern hemisphere leans closer to the sun than at any other time, which makes it hot.
