Hi! My name is Ellie, and I am in the fifth grade. In class we have been talking about government, and its role in economy. Economy is how a country makes and uses money while using resources and its means of production.

In order to learn more about the three different types of economies, I thought it would be a great idea to go on an adventure to different parts of the world where these economies actually take place.

I didn't have to go very far to reach a socialist country. In fact, all I had to do was go outside my house here in Kentucky. We in the United States take care of individuals by allowing them access to needs that everyone should have. Examples are public education, medical care, and electricity.

The second type of economy I wanted to explore is capitalism. I looked all night for a country with this type of economy just to learn that there wasn't a country in the world that was completely capitalist.
