This e-book I made is how I represent John Locke's version of self. The content is all about how I understand and perceive what he said.

According to him, consciousness is what makes up the self and that is why I can relate it to because I believe that whatever you think it shows. Whoever
you think you are it is you
"The Self is the Mind that Thinks"
"Consciousness
accompanies
thinking"

For me, it is right that whatever you are thinking it is what you called yourself. For short I agree that consciousness is what makes up our self. I am gay and I know it but if I think that I'm straight I can also become one.
"Self or personal identity is constructed
from sense experiences"
What he is trying to say here is that what makes up our consciousness is the thing we experience with the help of our senses. Which is actually, for me, is right. I don't usually believe something that I haven't experience yet especially those cases that are
hard to believe.

"The essence of the self is its conscious
awareness of itself as thinking,
reasoning, and reflecting identity."
