Bella is in the 3rd grade and lives in New Jersey. Bella lives with her mom, dad and little brother, Zack. Bella loves school. She likes to learn, play with her friends and read her favorite books!

After her day at school, Bella would come home excited to tell her parents about her day!

She talked about what she did at recess, what book she read during free-time and what she learned.

Today at school was the book fair! Bella was able to buy two new books to read. It felt as if it was the best day ever!

On her way home, she was so excited to show her mom and dad her new books! Bella had the biggest smile on her face!

She got off the school bus and ran home! She hugged her books so tight so she would not drop them!

However, when Bella walked into the front door, her parents were whispering. When they turned to her, they had a frown on both of their faces.

"Bella, we have to talk to you and your brother about something." Dad said. "We both need you to listen and understand this was not my choice." he continued.

"Your dad got a new job and that means we have to move to Pennsylvania." Mom said sadly.

Bella could not believe it. She loved her school, her friends, her teacher and her home.

"Why would we go?" Bella asked. Her eyes filled with tears. "I want to stay home." she sobbed. Bella dropped her two books and ran upstairs crying.

 Bella thought to herself. How could my parents do this? I'm going to lose my friends and favorite teachers. The new school will be dark and scary. The  teachers will be evil and the kids will be mean!

Bella left New Jersey hurt. She felt empty. In the car, she looked at her little brother, Zack. How could he not be scared or sad? She thought about how brave her little brother was and smiled. For the rest of the ride, she looked out the window.

They got to the new house and it was so big! Bella and Zack ran inside! They walked in and could not believe that this was their new home! They both raced upstairs to pick out their new room.
