Once upon a time there was a beautiful village with fairies, gnomes, small animals like snails, butterflies, caterpillars and more. Everyone was safe and happy as long as the magic butterfly stayed in its place on the enchanted rock. The cheerful little village was amazing. Flowers of every kind blossomed everywhere, even in the fiercest storms and frosts.
One day when Ivan, the scaredy cat gnome, and Peanuts, his brave snail best friend, were at school, the teacher told them a story.

“Well class,” the teacher said, “Today I am going to tell you a story. It's about our village. One day about 1,000 years ago, there lived an evil pig named Piggy. He is known to steal an important item every 100 years on the first day of spring,” Then the questions started.
“Excuse me teacher how does a pig live for over one hundred years?” Ivan asked.
“Great question Ivan. Piggy is immortal,” answered the teacher, "And our one hundred years of peace ends tomorrow night, that is when something will be stolen next.”

While walking home from school Ivan and Peanuts were having an intense conversation about Piggie. Ivan wanted to stay locked up in his house for the next 100 years and Peanuts wanted to go after Piggie and save whatever was about to be stolen. The two friends were very different but still inseparable.
Deep in the night when everyone was fast asleep, Ivan was worrying in his bed about everything that could go wrong the next day. At the same time the evil Piggy was sneaking around the village. He did not know anyone else was awake.
“Where is it?” Piggy muttered. He thought it would be easier to find. “Aha! There it is, mine at last.”

When everyone woke up they thought nothing was stolen. That is until Ivan went to school that morning. He was the first one there (because he was scared of being late). So he found out first. This is how he reacted.
“AHHHHHHH!!!! WE’RE ALL GONNA LOSE OUR MAGIC. THE BUTTERFLY HAS BEEN STOLEN! IT’S THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!” then he fainted.
The whole village could hear Ivan so they all came to see for themselves. Some took the news like Ivan did. Some didn’t care and others thought that Piggy must be stopped. That is exactly what Peanuts wanted to do, stop Piggy. With the help of Ivan of course.

When Ivan woke up he just kept telling himself that it was just a dream. But then Peanuts came and told him his new worst fear had come true. It wasn’t just a dream it was real and Peanuts wanted to go after Piggy. Ivan thought he was CRAZY.
“You don’t want to lose your magic, do you Ivan? All you have to do is come with me through that door,” Peanuts said
“ D-d-do you mean the magical door that leads to the human world? W-w-why c-can’t you go by yourself,” Ivan asked
“ I can’t open doors, I don’t have hands remember!” Peanuts answered
“ Fine, I'll go,” said Ivan, “But only because I want to save the village.”
“ Yay! let's go tonight,” exclaimed Peanuts.
The next night when no one was awake, Ivan and Peanuts were getting ready to go through the door.
“We can’t be seen,” Peanuts said quietly
Ivan nodded. They snuck around the village. Peanuts had a huge smile on his face and Ivan was whispering to himself all the things that could go wrong.
“Oh Ivan,” said Peanuts, “Stop worrying so much It's going to be fun.”
Finally They got to the magic door that led to the human world.
“Are you going to open it,” Ivan asked Peanuts. He was terrified.
I DON’T HAVE HANDS IVAN,” Peanuts said angrily. Why couldn’t Ivan remember that?
“O-ok,” whispered Ivan, “I will do it.”

Ivan opened the door. They stepped through. There was a bright flash of light then the friends saw the human world for the first time.
“Ew, there are no flowers here,” said Ivan
“And everything is so big! I think we should cross that great big pile of large logs first,” said Peanuts confidently with a nod (they were were actually little twigs).

“Yay we made it across,” said Ivan after about an hour.
“What is next,” asked Peanuts
“Ummm, I think that giant forest of super long grass,” Ivan answered. He was worried.
“Oh,” whispered Peanuts, “That is a big grass forest.”
Peanuts started walking to the edge of the forest, Ivan followed close behind.

When the two friends were about half way through the forest they heard something. THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! The ground started shaking. Ivan couldn’t move, he was too scared. He thought the noise was a coming from a monster.
“What is that noise?” Peanuts asked.
Ivan didn’t answer. Peanuts looked up and saw something terrifying.
“DOG!” Peanuts yelled.
“AHHHHHHH the ferocious puppy has got me!” yelled Ivan.

Peanuts bit the dog (because he couldn’t hit him). The dog didn’t budge. After the longest ten seconds of his life the dog put Ivan down and ran off to chase some squirrels. Ivan was wiping the slobber off of himself when Peanuts saw it.
“The butterfly! I see it,” said Peanuts.
“Really! Where?” Ivan asked excitedly.
“Ummm... up that super high tree,” Peanuts answered.

Ivan turned around and started walking.
“Where are you going Ivan?” Peanuts asked
“Back,” Ivan answered, “We will never make it.”
But Peanuts wouldn’t give up.
“We have to make it, we can’t give up. We already came so far,” said Peanuts, trying to convince him.
“Oh alright,” Ivan said, “But if I fall we are going back.”
“Deal,” Peanuts said
