What are learning styles?
Learning styles are the way that someone best learns during instruction. They influence how we learn as individuals. There are seven learning styles, and they are: visual, aural, verbal, physical, logical, social, and solitary.

Visual Learning
A visual learner, also known as spatial, prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding. These learners best learn by making diagrams, drawing outlines for information, taking notes, and color coding, highlighting, or underlining important information.

Aural Learning
Aural learners, also known as auditory-musical, prefer using sound and music. These learners best learn through listening, whether it be through the teacher, audio books, or even listening to music while studying. Some aural learners even create musical jingles in order to retain information.

Verbal Learning
Verbal Learners, also known as linguistic, prefer using words, both in speech and writing. These learners enjoy reading and writing and have an easy time expressing themselves through verbal and written words. Some verbal learners also enjoy rhymes and tongue twisters.
