Today is the day I teach my baby girl to use the potty. I have planned it out, and I know everything is going to go smoothly. Just watch!

My daughter has never used the potty before, she only had her diapers. She needs to learn to use the grown-up restroom by herself! "Come here, Emily," I say to her.

"Emily, get back here!" I yell. My daughter is trying to get away as I try to potty train her! This was not part of my plan!

Emily is now hiding in the corner. How can I potty train her like this? Children can be difficult sometimes!

As a last resort, I went to get a cookie to lure her to me. Her favorites are chocolate chip cookies. "Come to mommy, Emily! I brought you a delicious cookie!"

Not knowing what else to do, I tried to make an offer. "Alright Emily, I can give you this cookie now, but you have to promise to use the potty afterwards, okay?" Luckily, she decided to agree.

AS she was eating the cookie, I picked her up and set her on the potty to see what she would do. She happily continued eating her treat as she used the potty! "Good job, Emily!"
