Everything is ready, but I'm nervous!

Hi, my name is Abigail and I'm going to tell you about my first day as a paramedic.
That day I woke up very early and prepared my uniform and material to arrive punctually to the base, which I didn't know only had references of its exact location
I was feeling a little nervous, I checked my backpack several times to confirm that I didn't forget anything, even another change of clothes if necessary.

I walked for several minutes over where the central base was supposed to be, and I couldn't find it and it was getting late.
When I realised that a boy was watching me, so I lost my temper and decided to come closer:
- Hello! Can you help me?
- Sure
- I am looking for the Emergency Medical Care Service
- Ho, sorry I don't know the address
- It is near the San Antonio Hospital
- If you are on the wrong avenue it is a 10 minute walk
- It is late!
- You can take a taxi and be there in 5 minutes
- Perfect Thanks
- Good luck

Just in time!
Get there!
I got to the base just in time, I found my school friends.
- Abi, you're just in time, they've already welcomed us, but they haven't assigned us a team to go in the ambulance yet.
- Well, are you nervous?
- In the morning I just felt excitement, now I'm too nervous
-Silence, here comes the boss

-You are welcome to join us for a few days and to introduce yourselves to the squadron and unit number you will be working with:
Gerardo, Unit 19 Dr. Garcia
Abigail, Unit 25 Dr. Peña
…..
I approached the unit a bit fearfully and introduced myself

Good morning!
-Good morning!
I'm Abigail and this is my first day as an EMT on top of an ambulance I was assigned to your team
-Welcome Abigail I am Dr.Peña and this is the paramedic operator Thania.
-Hi Abigail why don't you start checking the ambulance and make sure the equipment is complete
-Yes, of course.
I checked the whole ambulance and tried to recognize all the equipment and check that nothing was missing, once I was on top of it I felt more confident

We left SAMU as soon as we started walking the streets, I started trying to remember my lessons, which is the first thing I would have to do if the first call came.
That it will be my first service, it will be a person run over, a car accident, a fall to a great height, this thought made me nervous again, I tried to relax.
- And tell me Abigail if they call and we get to the scene, what is the first thing you should do?
The Doctor interrupts my thought with the same question I've been asking
- Check the scene, answer
- That there is no danger to me, or my colleagues before I approach
Suddenly the radio sounded
