Archery is a sport that can be played both alone and as a team.
We need a bow, a riser, a stabiliser, arrows and a sight.
The rules are very simple. Athletes compete by firing arrows at a target 70m away to score points.
It is done in a stadium.
One of the best players in the world comes from South Korea. His name is Im Dong-Hyun.

Boxing is an individual fight sport.
It's played on a ring.
The accessories they use to fight are gloves, shorts, mouthpiece, boots and helmet.
Two interesting facts about Boxing are the gloves weigh about 250 to 280 grams and an assault lasts 3 minutes.
Two great famous boxers are Mike Tyson and Joe Frazier.

It's played in a pitch. It is usually played between two teams of 11 players.
Each team tries to win by kicking a ball into the other team's goal.

The first style of karate started on Okinawa in the 17th century, probably by people forbidden to carry weapons.
This rough fighting style was then polished and changed as it spread throughout Japan.
Karate needs a gum shield, body protection, shin pads and foot protectors.
It is done on a mat or martial rug.
It is the first time in the Olympic Games
Fencing is a type of individual sport. The equipment of a fencer is made up of mask, a fencing suit, protective material, weapons, sneakers, socks, the electric gilet and gloves.
The objective is to touch the opponent without being touched. It is played on a 14 meters long and 1.5 meters wide metal track.
Two of the most famous players are Renzo Pasquale, Zeglio Agresta and Nathalie Moellhausen.
Did you know that fencing appeared at least 3 thousand years ago.

A mascote para os Jogos Paralímpicos chama-se Lava porque o Japão tem uma grande atividade vulcânica (pertence ao Anel do Fogo do Pacífico). O cabelo completa essa ideia, representa a lava a escorrer. O seu corpo é um círculo branco juntamente com outro vermelho para simbolizar a bandeira do Japão. Os braços e as pernas foram pintados de amarelo para simbolizar a temperatura super quente dos vulcões.
As mascotes que escolhi relacionam-se entre si. Ambas querem representar a vida, a paixão e o espírito através de cores quentes e do fogo.
