Perry is a pretty peaceful penguin. He is a talking penguin and has a job in a tall skyscraper. He lives in an igloo on the edge of an ice cap near where he works.

Perry é um pinguim muito pacífico. Ele é um pinguim falante e trabalha em um arranha-céu alto. Ele mora em um iglu à beira de uma calota polar perto de onde trabalha.

At Perry's job he has a boss named Brad, who treats his workers without respect and only cares about money. The job that Perry works at is one of the most polluting jobs in the world.

No trabalho de Perry, ele tem um chefe chamado Brad, que trata seus trabalhadores sem respeito e só se preocupa com dinheiro. O emprego em que Perry trabalha é um dos mais poluentes do mundo.

As Perry starts his day, he gets ready to go to work and has a glass of ice water. Perry makes his way to his work and arrives. Perry always feels different as he's the only penguin there, everyone else is a human.

Quando Perry começa o dia, ele se prepara para ir trabalhar e toma um copo de água gelada. Perry vai para o trabalho e chega. Perry sempre se sente diferente, pois ele é o único pinguim lá, todos os outros são humanos.

Recently at work, Perry has been noticing that the company is very wasteful and polluting. For a long time Perry was okay with this and it didn't bother him. Now he realizes that there are alternatives that are powered with clean energy.

Recentemente, no trabalho, Perry percebeu que a empresa desperdiça muito e polui. Por muito tempo, Perry concordou com isso e isso não o incomodou. Agora ele percebe que existem alternativas movidas a energia limpa.

He held a meeting with his boss and some co-workers to show how they can stop polluting, which meant a small drop in sales, but the environment was more important. His boss, Brad, was furious. He couldn't have a drop in sales no matter what!

Ele fez uma reunião com o chefe e alguns colegas de trabalho para mostrar como eles podem parar de poluir, o que significou uma pequena queda nas vendas, mas o meio ambiente foi mais importante. Seu chefe, Brad, ficou furioso. Ele não poderia ter uma queda nas vendas, não importa o quê!

Perry was threatened to be fired if he kept on pushing for clean energy. When the day was over Perry was upset because he knew what he was doing was right. Brad was just money-hungry.

Perry foi ameaçado de demissão se continuasse pressionando por energia limpa. Quando o dia acabou, Perry ficou chateado porque sabia que o que estava fazendo era certo. Brad estava com fome de dinheiro.

The next day Perry tried again to make the company  switch to clean energy, this time by hanging posters around the office. This allowed more of his co-workers to know about climate change but Brad also saw the posters and said "Next time this happens, you're fired for good!"

No dia seguinte, Perry tentou novamente fazer a empresa mudar para energia limpa, desta vez pendurando pôsteres pelo escritório. Isso permitiu que mais colegas de trabalho soubessem sobre a mudança climática, mas Brad também viu os pôsteres e disse: "Na próxima vez que isso acontecer, você está despedido para sempre!"

Once Perry got home he knew something was different. The roof of his igloo was dripping and the ground was croaking. Perry didn't know what was happening. He was confused.

Assim que Perry chegou em casa, ele percebeu que algo estava diferente. O telhado de seu iglu estava pingando e o chão estava coaxando. Perry não sabia o que estava acontecendo. Ele estava confuso.

Out of nowhere, the ice cap that he was on started cracking! It cracked so much that it started collapsing. It fell away and destroyed his home. He didn't know what to do. Everything he needed was gone. From that point on, Perry had a mission: To stop climate change.

Do nada, a calota de gelo em que ele estava começou a rachar! Ele rachou tanto que começou a desabar. Caiu e destruiu sua casa. Ele não sabia o que fazer. Tudo que ele precisava se foi. Desse ponto em diante, Perry tinha uma missão: parar a mudança climática.

  AHHHH!

The next day at work, he told everyone about what had happened. "It's all because of climate change," Perry said. "We need to put a stop to climate change." His boss said that he has had enough and that Perry was fired.

No dia seguinte, no trabalho, ele contou a todos o que havia acontecido. “É tudo por causa da mudança climática”, disse Perry. "Precisamos acabar com as mudanças climáticas." Seu chefe disse que ele já estava farto e que Perry foi demitido.

You're fired!     Você está demitido!
