Once Upon a Time...

There was an angry young woman named Katarina.

GRRRR!

Katarina had a sister named Bianca. 

Everybody loved Bianca, especially the boys!

Katarina and Bianca's father was named Baptista. Baptista did not want to lose his daughters so he made a new rule.

Bianca cannot get married until Katarina gets married!

Bianca and her friends were not happy about this rule.

They thought Katarina would never get married.

Some of Bianca's friends came together to make a plan. 

A plan to make sure Katarina got married.

Whisper! Whisper!

Plan! Plan!

Bianca's friend Luciento was secretly in love with her! So he made a plan to win her heart!

I will ask my friend to be her teacher and say nice things about me!

Bianca's other friend Hortensio talked to his friend Petruchio to see if he wanted to marry Katarina.

Do you want to marry a grumpy lady? I will give you money!

Sure! I like a challenge!

Luciento asked his friend Gremio to pretend to be a teacher for Bianca and say nice things about him to help him win Bianca's heart.

Will you help me win the love of my life by playing pretend?

Gremio asks to teach Bianca, while Petruchio asks to meet and marry Katarina.

I...um...Sure!

Can I marry Kat?

Petruchio and Katarina meet and argue for the first time.

Petruchio decides when they will get married.

Hello Kat! We will get married on Sunday!

Don't call me Kat!!

Baptisa approves of marriage for both of his daughters. He is excited for Katarina and Petruchio to marry on Sunday and agrees to 

allow Luciento to marry Bianca.

Everyone waits, excited for Katarina and Petruchio to get married but Petruchio is late. Kate starts to get upset and stops away!

I knew this would happen! I bet he has done this before! He says he will marry a girl then runs away!

Someone comes running saying Petruchio is coming but he is dressed all funny! He isn't dressed for the wedding!

Go change your clothes!

Nah, I'm going to go find Kat!

Lucentio asks Gremio if he has been saying nice 

things about him.

Yes yes. I have been telling her that you are big and strong and soft and cuddly and that you have lots of money to buy her chocolate and puppies!

Gremio! Have you been telling Bianca nice things about me?

After the wedding where Petruchio embarrasses everyone, they arrive at the party. Then Petruchio quickly announces that he and Kat are leaving before anyone can say congratulations!

Hello! Goodbye!

Katarina tries to argue saying she isn't going anywhere but Petruchio convinces her to come with him and everyone laughs as they run out. Then Baptista starts talking about Bianca's wedding.
