My name is Buttons, and I'm a cat. November is my owners birthday, November 4. And we HAD to celebrate it. I just want to sleep and drink milk. But they insisted we do. They got this weird thing shaped like a cylinder and I heard they were going to eat it. My human said it was called a cake. What the paw kind of name is that??? But anyways, her humans (aka her parents I think) said they were going to give her the best present ever. I was snooping around at the moment, and couldn't help but overhear what they said.

I couldn't exactly hear what they said but I heard this: "Pet store" What the cat does that mean? Don't ask. If you have one, I have claws you know. Cattyways, I'm going to get some milk. Starving. "Buttons!!! We're going to get a tripod and record me blowing out the candles! We want you in the video!!!" My human said. I love Alya, but sometimes she can get on my nerves. "Happy birthday to you!!!" We finally finish. I try to scramble out of her arms but she has a tight grip. Milllllllllk. I need milk right now. A nice mouse would be nice too. I hate this day.

Here we are, today again. My humans mom said we're going to the pet store. Save Paws Pet Store. Alya shoves me in my cage and says, "We'll be back soon, Buttons! I can't wait!" What the caaaat?! What does, "I can't wait" mean?! I'm in my cage when they leave. No milk. No mice. No Alya's stuffed animals to bite their heads off. One hour passes, and they finally come home! But Alya has something in her arms. Wait. It can't be.

THEY GOT A DOG?! A REAL LIFE DOG?!!?! No, this is just a dream. Go back to sleep. I think to myself. No. Heart pounding. Paws shaking. Body trembling. No! It's real!!! "MEOW MEOW MEOOOOOW!!!" I cry in despair. But all they heard is: "Meow, meow, meow." And then they said. "Aww, she's singing a welcome song to Chewbacca!" Mind blown! They named that thing too?!?! This will be a loooooong miserable life.

THIS DOG IS RUINING MY LIFE!!! First: He drinks my milk! Next: He eats my food! And worst of all: He chews my toys! No wonder they named him Chewbacca. Days are tough, nights are rough. I'm doomed! Oh the horror! Bang bang bang! Bangs something on the window. It's my bgcats! (aka best gangster cats) They are like my world! "I'll sneak out the porch, meow meow!" I tell them. Once I sneak out (btw I always do) I walk to them. These are their names: Clara, Chase, Komodo, Missy, and me, Buttons
