Run till we find it

 What do I do now and where do I go?   This is a road I didn't think I would have to run

I am unclear about this picture, unsure what to think now. What are the options, what are my choices 

So much I need and how do I get there?  

It is larger and loaming and grossly overwhelming,  it stands taller and scary and hides everywhere, I can't get around it,  it smothers my soul, I am drowning and fainting and falling about 

listen now arm yourself and you'll find the answer. Through knowledge is power and that is the way.            Through TV and print and talking and asking,  you'll find a weakness in what you need to fight

 start groping around you and grab what you can. Rreaching and taking power lies everywhere.

Don't trust all that's told you but find out the truth, there are no simple answers but there are many ways

 run run run till we find it you may be the last, the last one to have this tomorrow they'll say

stop you don't have to run, we finally found it  and then you will say,    run run ,run for the next thing

     cause we can beat them all, together we'll fight this the big and the small ,  Run, Run, Run 

                                You shouldn't do it alone

 I have tried to help you, I have tried to bring you comfort

My heart is aching with what you are aching with but you spurn me and

all I know is you should not do this alone, you shouldn't walk this road alone

 black skies are coming, and we need a good storm

you might think it a bad thing, but there you would be wrong

 let it crash, let it terrify, let it wash it all away

let it roll, let it thunder, let the sleet hit your face

 things are changing..., how you think, how I think

but this is the way it's supposed to go, it won't seem right

it may not seem easy, but you know there comes a fight 

so hold me close, cause all I know is, you shouldn't go this alone, you shouldn't walk this alone 

Don't be afraid

 Close your eyes and take my hand, trust in the words that we have said

let the fears fall away and trust me, we will carry you when you can't go on

 Don't push us away, you will need us and we will need you

There are mountains to climb, and bridges to cross, lots ahead for you and me

 Don't let this strip you of your life, don't ever give up, we all need each other, there are those who need you

 Don't get discouraged and if you do, get back up and ride that pony

or you will never learn to walk

 Don't ever let this thing beat you, it CAN be beat, and you can beat it

 Don't stay the same, become something better, give back and keep giving, just find a different way

 Don't think that these are only words, they are life....yours

If I knew then

 If I knew then what I know now, I would ...STOP... stop a little more and listen. I would look around and see and I would learn a lot about things,, not just as things but as...things...you know and then I would....  MAKE..  make more of a difference. to myself and to others, cause I would ..SEE them.  like I didn't before, I would ...TAKE....take the time to do the things I always wanted, I wouldn't rush the day, and I would move a lot slower and contemplate everything I did, I would...HEAR ...yes I would hear what others said and try to be there for them. I would hear everything around me. listening, for things that were never said. I would listen to strangers, and try to read them their lips, their faces, their bodies and SOMETIMES  yes sometimes I would stay in bed and linger longer and

walk barefoot more in the grass and feel the sand...FEEL it...running through my fingers.. SENSING

the air all around me, the heat from the sun, the smell of cut grass, the SMELL of, what is that smell, a new one, that sound, what is that,  a touch, I feel it on my face, all around me. are you feeling that.  

hey I am talking to you,  if you knew now what I know ...ya.... things would change 

                        Just another day

Just another day well I don't think so. I got the news and today the colors are a little brighter

I didn't smell the grass when I came by but I can now. I didn't hear the robins sing their song, but I do now

the wind is blowing in the trees and I felt it brush my face. somehow I was missing something

or maybe something missed me.  It won't now 

( ch) I can see for the first time, I feel life for the first time

I can breathe air for the first time, I feel the sun for the first time

I am living for the first time since they told me I might die

 you see I didn't know and I couldn't see. but life for me  has come around and I know I have found

my life was worth living, and I am not quitting. I am not giving up, I will fight this thing with all that I have, I will go on, and I will come out I will never surrender, I will fight the long fight        (lead medley)    (ch)

 I can see. I can feel I can breathe, I am for the first time, living...since they told me I might die

Mark my words 

 The fear is great of things unknown, but trust your friends and those you need

it isn't much and it isn't hard to rest, your head and close your heart but

 (ch) mark my words, these you mind, hear what I say, do what you are told, hold out your hand

open your mouth, bite down on this and rest till noon, now that wasn't so bad was it?

 Follow me I know the way, it isn't far just over there, come on a little further, just up this hill

I can almost see it, come on just a little further, no rest right yet, wait a bit. just right here

 You can do anything, stop looking at the present, look into the future, way down there, see it

that is you and really,  that wasn't so bad now was it. I told you when it is all done and over

            that really wasn't so bad now was it
