The book is called “How The Grinch Stole Christmas, By: Dr.Seuss.” The Grinch is about “The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl's generous holiday spirit.” The 2018 Grinch is on Netflix for all to watch as well as the 2000 one. The Book was made in the year of 1957. The book is very old by now. The 1st grinch movie was made in 2000 and it was live-action, Also including Jim Carrey acting as the one the main characters, the Grinch. Now that you know a little bit about the Grinch franchise. The Grinch is misunderstood because of his past and he was bullied.

One reason the Grinch is misunderstood is that in the movies they show the Grinch’s past. His childhood. Sure he’s a little mischievous. But why? Because of his childhood\past. To even act mischievous, you always have a reason no matter the case. If you watched the movies. The Grinch had no family, not even a friend, nobody really cared about him. Kids bullied him for being green and called him ugly and other very hurtful things. In The Grinch or life, when we get mischievous we have a reason for doing it right? You can't just be bad for no reason. There has to be something there to make you do bad things.

Another reason why he is misunderstood is that he does not mean to, the Grinch himself states "I've Put up with this for 53 years..." that's just showing that he is still letting Whoville enjoy themselves. the reason he steals Christmas is to take away joy is that he wanted others to feel what he felt. if you watch the 2018 grinch movie you will understand.
