Watch out for pressure.
Oh, yeah. Pressure sucks.
What's so bad about pressure?
Once upon a time there was a rock named River. She has never gone through the rock cycle and is at the age where it will be her first time. Going through the rock cycle is like going off to college after high school for a rock. In school they learn all about the different things that they would go through during their time in the rock cycle. She has heard so many stories from her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles and is so excited to start her journey. Prepared to change at any minute, she decides to spend her time with her family and friends.

Hi! Is this your first time?
Yeah.
Yikes. Going into pressure for the first time sucks....
Sedimentary
All of a sudden, River feels herself start to break apart, knowing that it is time to say goodbye. She gives everyone a 'knock' since they are rocks and cannot hug like the humans can. This is their way of affection and a tradition for saying goodbye to friends and family when you start your first rock journey. River drifted down the river for a little while, reminiscing all of her memories when she finally hit something and stopped.

Sedimentary
River spent a couple of days getting to know her fellow rocks while waiting for what happens next. She learns that the more rocks that come, the closer she is to the next phase. Everyday she sees less and less light, where eventually she sees no light at all. At that point, she can feel more weight being put on her and it felt more cramped every second.

Okay, I see why now nobody likes pressure.

Sedimentary
River thought that things couldn't get any tighter, well it did.

How do you like the rock cycle so far, kid?
Pressure sucks, but overall, it is a cool experience so far.
Metamorphic
Then, the unexplainable happened: River was moving! Down, down, down with everyone else. The farther she went down, the hotter it got. Eventually, she merged together with everyone else, breaking the record of how close they all could be and cooled.

Weeee!
Igneous
Finally, River's favorite part of the rock cycle happened: she once again became a liquid and burst out of the ground, and started cooling.

Oh, no. Not again.
Yeah, this happens sometimes.
