Schools and Markets are all closed down.No sports or gatherings are allowed in the city.My park that was vibrant with children around is now deserted without any sound.

As the time passed by other public places such as shopping centers, swimming pools, sport centers, cafes etc. were shut down.

In the beginning it wasn't clear how education would go on. Authorities tried to find a solution to this problem. In the end ministery of education came to a decision: "schools would give online education by using computer and internet. Initially, online education was difficult for both students and teachers. As the time passed by both sides got used to this new situation.

We started online English lessons. Our students learnt new vocabularies like "pandemic, quarantine" with the effect of Covid-19. They learnt that these vocabularies weren't actually Turkish. They learnt Turkish equvalient of these word. This showed them that English is an important lesson for all students.

There were different lessons every day in my schedule. The Ministry told us first, "You will follow the basic lessons." Because the pandemic and related problems would end in a short time. It did not happen as expected. With all the lessons, my program has become the same as in school. Today there was Math and English lessons.

I have completed my duties given by my teachers. I can't wait to go out. Although I cannot spend time with my friends as I used to, I cannot eat something on the street ...… My mother always says that it is nice to have fresh air.

Our first lesson tomorrow morning is Social Studies… Our teacher analyzes the subject of our lesson "The effects of the economic activities around him on people's social lives" and gave us a task.

We will observe people affected by the pandemic on the street and in the evening news. What has changed in our lives, we will tell about them in the lesson. I will also take notes on these when I go out today.

Here I am on the street…
The park in our neighborhood is empty again. A small number of people walking around with masks in their mouths and visors on their faces… I hear some of them talking.

For example; There was a hairdresser on the street, but now the shop is empty ... a brother told him he was sorry for their job, and an uncle said it would last 10 years. We walked around for 1 hour and we're going home.

I still need to watch the news after dinner.

According to the researches of meteorology, the threat of drought has come to the fore throughout the country due to the decrease in rainfall and temperatures above seasonal normals in recent months. Does water end in the world? I have to ask this to my teacher tomorrow.

samya abo salah /som secondary school

student : good morning teacher .
teacher : good morning .
student : can I ask you if the water end in the world ?
teacher : this is agood question
the world is witnessing acontinuous icrease in the demand for natural resources due to increasein population and everyone needs 15 liters of fresh water daily :drinking, cooking, washing
.
although water is inexhaustble resources.
natural resources of fresh water such as lakes, streams ,and aquifers may not be constantly replenished as climate change and drought may cause adecrease in the amount of water in them and in appropriate use of water sources exposesthem to pollution and excessive use of water poses aconstant threat to water supply .
when the amount of consumption exceeds the capacityof these sources to regenerate
thats called water recycle

While talking about the effects of the pandemic throughout our story, I would also like to mention the effects of the economy. Small businesses did not sell under the curfew. Workplaces are closed. Business owners could not afford to pay their rents or pay for their homes. The economy weakened as it dismissed its employees.

People who came out of a busy working pace psychologically fell into a vacuum. Incompetence in people with past thinking, downtime, financial income losses and responsibilities became the root cause of problems. Experts made recommendations for this and increased treatment was achieved.
