See if you can find a hiding cat on each page

Once upon a time, in a house on Merry Mill Road, there lived a dog named Maggie. Maggie's human owner was a woman named Amelia. Amelia loved dogs, but sadly her small house on Merry Mill Road was only big enough for one.

Amelia loved Maggie dearly, and Maggie loved her back. Amelia and Maggie loved each other that they would do anything to get back together if they were separated and could not afford to lose each other. Of course, this took a while to achieve.

Amelia was grrrreat at cooking and Maggie had an excellent, super sensitive nose. But, like everyone else, Amelia and Maggie both had flaws and weaknesses, and unfortunately for them a jewelry robber knew theirs.

The jewelry thief was a particularly sneaky one. One that was smart, one that wore gloves and dark clothes so he wouldn't get caught. Right now, he was planning to use Amelia and Maggie's weaknesses to steal Amelia's precious sapphire necklace.

Back at the small house on Merry Mill road, Amelia and Maggie were having a grrrrreat time. They were still unaware that a thief was going to try to steal Amelia's precious sapphire necklace and knew their weaknesses. Alright, if you pinky double swear promise that you'll keep this a secret I'll tell you Amelia and Maggie's weaknesses on the next page. Promise?

Okay, remember not to tell anyone. Amelia's weakness was that she is a deep sleeper, and Maggie's weakness is that Maggie doesn't have good hearing or good eyesight for a dog.

So, at dawn when it was just about Maggie's regular wake up time, the thief snuck into the bedroom of the house on Merry Mill Road, snatched the necklace and ran! Amelia didn't noticed the thief because she was oversleeping (as usual), and Maggie didn't sense the robber due to her poor eyesight and hearing. Maggie also didn't sense the thief with her super nose because it was stuffy on that day. (The night before, the robber has sneaked in to turn off the heater in Maggie's room so Maggie has caught a cold overnight.)

When Amelia finally woke up (because Maggie was bouncing on the bed), she was horrified to find out that her precious, cherished sapphire necklace was missing. Maggie seemed to sense Amelia's worry and stopped bouncing on the bed. Amelia wondered, "Where could the sapphire necklace be?"
"Could it have been stolen?" Maggie looked like she was wondering the same thing, but she might have been wondering if it was breakfast time yet.

After they finished breakfast, Amelia and Maggie both decided that it was time to look for clues on where Amelia's sapphire necklace went and if someone stole it.

Suddenly, Maggie seemed to sense something. Then, she started barking! If you spoke dog, then you would know that she used her now not stuffy super nose to catch the thief's scent. Well, at least an unfamiliar, peculiar scent.
