It was the winter season, the three rabbits, Lily, Benjamin, and Peter made the lower part of the snow rabbit, and wanted to place the upper part above the beneath one.
"Ok, ready Benjamin," sighed Peter, "And ready Lily?"
"Ready!" said Lily.
" One, two, three" and the rabbits together pushed the snowball above the beneath one!
"Doesn't look much like a snow rabbit to me". said Benjamin. "Just needs a few finishing touches". said Peter and fixed some beads, cones, and branches to make his eyes, ears, and nose.
"Tadaa, he's so big and round, we can call it Rolly Polly!" said Peter.
"Hello Rolly Polly," shouted Lily. "Are you hungry?"
Haha, tummy alarm, anyone else hungry?" asked Benjamin. Lily and Peter laughed. "That's Yes!" said Peter.
Then suddenly a voice came from Lily's tummy that showed she was hungry. "Haha, excuse me." said Lily. "Ok, that settles it, lunchtime," shouted Peter. "Let's hop to it."
Then the three rabbits jumped on a log started to search for food. "The trouble is, this time we only ever get to eat cabbage." said Peter. "Cabbage soup." said Lily. "Cabbage casserole." said Benjamin. "Cabbage……huh, radishes!" said Peter and smelled them. The rabbits jumped off the log. Benjamin rubbed his eyes and shouted, "Are you seeing what I am seeing?" "If you're seeing a pile of the most sweet-smelling, mouth-watering, tasty radishes in the whole wide world, then yes, I am."
"Let's Eat!" shouted Benjamin, and both Peter and Benjamin were about to run for the radishes, Lily took hold of their shirts and pulled them back. "Lily!" yelled Peter. "This is wrong, very wrong, radishes don't just appear in the middle of the woods," explained Lily. "And definitely not in winters, something smells fishy...." "Mmmmm, smells pretty radishy to me!" said Benjamin, and he and Peter were again about to run for the radishes, and again, Lily pulled them back. "Hey, think of it, who would leave something like this out here?" said Lily. "It has to be a trap!" "Tr... trap?" cried Benjamin.
"Or maybe, it not a trap," said Peter. "Shame to waste all this yummy food." "Erm, he could be right, Lily!" said Benjamin. "It's better to be safe than sorry!" warned Lily. "Erm, maybe Lily's right, we'd better leave them." said Benjamin. "Tell that to my tummy!" said Peter as he ran towards the radishes. Benjamin and Lily, both pulled him back. "Well, that's the tastiest lunch that I never had!" said Peter gloomily. Then Benjamin and Lily patted Peter and went off to play, but again, Peter ran for the radishes. Lily dashed and grabbed Peter. "Peter, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is!"
So they all went in their house under the tree.
"Must stop thinking about radishes," said Peter. "Must stop thinking about radishes... Must stop thinking about..." "Radishes, eat a radish." cried Peter's sister Cottontail with a radish drawn on a paper in her hand. "Huh!" said Peter, and went where they built the snow rabbit to get the radishes!
Peter secretly begin to find the radishes and suddenly bumped with Benjamin who was also there for the mouth-watering radishes. "What are you doing here?" asked Peter.
"Erm, just out for a little walk," said Benjamin. "Wait a second, what are you doing here?"
"I couldn't stop thinking about those radishes!"
"Me neither!"
"Come on." said Peter and they both went off for the radishes.
When they reached where the radishes were, they heard a loud scream.
"What was that?" asked Benjamin. "Lily!" shouted Peter as he saw her trapped where the radishes were.
"It was a trap. I knew it." said Benjamin. "Peter!" screamed Lily.
"It must be Mr. Tod's trap!" shouted Peter. "He's got to be on his way, we'd better do something fast!"
Mr. Tods came out from his house and heard the bell ringing.
"I hear the dinner bell, somebody must have fallen into my trap! I wonder what I've caught today...a duck, a squirrel, or a rabbit!" said Mr. Tods with a smirk and laughed.
On the other hand, Lily was swinging in the trap, trying to get out.
She took out the box from her pocket that had Florence the ladybird inside it and opened it. "Florence, quick, go for help!" said Lily, but Florence just sat above the trap. "Florence!" sighed Lily. "Hey, wasn't it you who said if something looks... too good to be true, it probably is!" said Peter and tried to get hold of the trap, but it was too high above. Lily sighed. "And didn't you say it was a trap!" said Peter. "Ok, Ok! I just couldn't resist the most mouth-watering, tastiest radishes ever. Help me down?" said Lily. "Benjamin, hop up," shouted Peter and held him up to catch the trap. "Just a little closer..." said Benjamin. "Benjamin!" said Peter and suddenly they both fall down. "Don't worry Lily, we'll save you!" said Peter.
Lily took her hand out of the trap and tried and felt that the trap was held with tied rope.
"Ah, the old figure of eight, rolling hitch, double overhand, two and a half loop." sighed Lily. "Er, say that all again? But really slowly!" said Benjamin. "It's a type of a knot," said Lily and searched for something in her pocket. "Crumbs, keys, comb! Just in case pocket, just in case! I can use the comb to un-knot the knot. All I need is a little time!" "You want time, you've got it!" shouted Peter. "Come on Benjamin, we're going to slow down that fox." "Just, wait here Lily." said Benjamin. "Where else would I go?" Lily cried to herself.
Mr. Tods the fox was on his way to the trap. "I just knew one of those fluffy that would walk right into my trap. With a little luck, I'll be having roast rabbit this evening!" said Mr. Tods to himself and laughed. Benjamin and Peter secretly saw him.
With a little luck, I'll be having roast rabbit this evening!
"Start tunneling!" ordered Peter to Benjamin. "Stand back." said Benjamin. "That should trip him up!" said Peter and went to hide behind the tree and Benjamin came out of the tunnel that he made for Mr. Tods to fell in.
"Steam and simmer, bake and stew, grilled or fried, barbeque!" singed Mr. Tods on his way to the trap. Suddenly, Mr. Tods fall into the tunnel. "Argh!" he shouted. "Ha, that stopped him in his traps!" said Peter.
But unfortunately, Mr. Tods easily came out of the tunnel. "Oh, how I hate rabbits, leaving holes all over the places!" shouted Mr. Tods.
"We have to try again, Lily's depending on us!" said Peter.
Lily was trying to open the knot with the comb. "Got to un-knot this!" said Lily to herself. Suddenly, the comb broke and fall down from her hand to the ground. "No!" she cried. "Come on Lily Bobtail, you've got yourself into this mess, now think you're way out!" she said to herself.
