It was like any other morning. Max had just woken up to get ready for school. After brushing his teeth, it was time to pick out an outfit. Max decided to wear his new pink shirt. Pink is his favorite color! After getting ready, he headed downstairs for breakfast

I am so excited to wear my new pink shirt to school!

When Max made it downstairs he was greeted by his mom & dad. "Good morning Max, your new shirt looks so good on you!" said Max's mom. "I can't wait to show my friends at school!" exclaimed Max. After saying goodbye to his parents, Max headed to school.

When Max made it to school, he saw some friends outside. He asked them if they would walk with him to class. They all looked at him and started giggling and whispering to each other. "That's strange." thought Max. He ignored it and continued walking to his classroom. 

Hi Guys! Do you want to walk to class with me?

Is that a pink shirt? Doesn't Max know pink is for girls?

When Max arrived at his classroom, he noticed all his friends had moved desks. They didn't want to sit by Max anymore. They were all pointing & laughing at Max."Pink is for girls,  Max must be a girl!" a boy shouted. Max felt really sad and alone. He didn't understand why his friends didn't like his new shirt.
