Ok, I understand, you're probably expecting me to be a perfect princess. I am heir to the throne. But I just want to be something more. My little sister Opal would be better. "Come down here right now, Eva!" my mom calls. I wish I could disappear right now. 

I'm downstairs and my mom, Queen Alana, is talking to a guard. I was expecting to be yelled at for a while. "Eva, it is almost time for your crowning and you haven't picked out anything for the big party,” she says calmly. "Mom," I cry, "Don't you understand? I don't want to rule a kingdom! I just want to be free!" Then I ran out the gates.

Opal follows me out. It is pretty easy to find me since there's snow everywhere. "Hey Eva, what's wrong?" she questions. "Nothing,” I reply. "Mom’s worried about you,” she counters. "I don't really care, I just want to be alone." I see a flash of white through the snow covered trees, and I realize out here it's more dangerous than I thought. "RUN HOME AND GET HELP!" I cry to Opal.

I now am alone with a white lady. She slowly walks out into the clearing. "I guess Queen Alana has been trying to hide you from the real world, but you have more power than she tells you. Let me tell you the history behind this kingdom, the now forever cold Sarrin. The royal family lead the kingdom for years, happy. This land followed the natural path of the seasons. Until Queen Alana came along. I was the older sister, and was told I was meant for the throne. But I knew I was meant for more. Just like you.

I ran away and found I had powers of light. I hid away from everyone and everything I knew, and met the Oracle. She told me the kingdom will be destroyed and the princess of light and air and the princess of dark and fire will combine to save it. I didn't know what I was getting into so I ran. I knew I was light and air, but always wondered who dark and fire was. But I think I just found her. My name is Princess Sarah, and I'm your aunt," Aunt Sarah explained.

"Ok, wow! I have an aunt I never even heard of!” I exclaim. We talk and talk about the prophecy and then Opal and Mom arrive. "Princess Eva!” Aunt Sarah starts floating, her eyes glowing bright yellow and white. "Alana, you're too closed minded! Eva is the Dark and Fire!" Aunt Sarah screams. Mom looks upset "You are the closed minded one, you wouldn't give ruling the kingdom a chance," she countered.

Aunt Sarah looked down. "Alana, you are the one that will destroy this land, and so is Princess Opal. Leave this land and give it peace.” I decide to step in. "Mom, Opal, if the prophecy is correct, which I think it is, the whole kingdom is in trouble, and we need to find a way around it." Everyone stares at me like I've never said anything smart before.  I have. "What?" I say. They just all look away. 

Opal looks at me, and whispers, "This isn't the best option. Come on, lets go home and forget this happened." I stare at her. How could she even think like that? I have to make a tough decision to leave home and learn how to use my powers, or stay with Opal and Mom and forget this ever happened. I think long and hard. The sun is setting, and the darkness surrounds us. I feel at home. Once I feel this, I know my choice. "I'm staying here," I say. "The castle isn't where I belong. Here is." Everyone looks at me. Opal looks at me and shakes her head. She’s upset but this was the best choice.
