The journey of an explorer

I chose this cover for the book because I think that it shows what kind of man Christopher Columbus was,

an explorer. I chose this new title to the book because it tells us about the history of Christopher Columbus and in my opinion this title indicates better what the book is about.

Summary:

The story starts when Christopher Columbus was born in Genoa, Italy in 1451. When Christopher Columbus was a young boy his dream was to be an explorer. He didn't know that his dream would came true in 1492 in his first expedition. He was supposed to arrive to the East Indians but instead he arrived to America. 

For Christopher Columbus, one journey wasn't  enough. He went to his second journey in 1493 with 1200 more people to "settle" down the new world.  When they arrived to the Island of Jamaica and Porto Rico, they started to settle down but the people that  

lived there didn't accept this and many participants of the expedition were killed. So they decided to start the colony in a new place of the island. 

After this, Christopher Columbus returned to Spain alone.  

Christopher Columbus had a third  journey where he discovered a small island close to Venezuela. And, after it, he had the 4th journey and it was the first time that Columbus explored America. He found there cocoa beans and other exotic things that he never saw before.

The book ends when Christopher Columbus dies on May 20, 1506, in Spain.

Main character:

The main character in this books is Christopher Columbus.

The character of Christopher Columbus in the book is very brave because he wasn't scared to go to new adventures that nobody had the courage to do before him.

Christopher Columbus was also very smart, he always knew how to resolve problems and what to do. 

He had a long hair and was very tall.

Secondary character:

In this book there isn't a secondary character because it is a biography about  Christopher Columbus. I am sure that he had lots of people that helped him in his journeys but they weren't mentioned  in the book. 

Book review:

In my opinion the book "Who was Christopher Columbus" is very interesting because it tells us about his life in a new and interesting way.

I think that people need to read this book because it helps to expand our knowledge and at the same time we can learn about an interesting period in history and have fun.
